Description
Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated.
I noticed this growth on a piece of a birch tree that was lying on my baclyard after the wind died away.
I do not have a macro lens but like how this one worked out. The only postwork done at all is to add name and adjust size down from 8.5MB so it would fit.

Great capture! Looks like butterfly wings! :o)
Your picture has still come out well without a macro lens. There's some nice bokeh occurring in the background.
Superbly captured zoom is a must for all the fine detail !!
Looks like the birch killer Tinder fungus. Most interesting!
