.. then go to hospital'!
Funnel-Web spider display at the museum. The ones on the right are dead, but the little 'isolation' cells on the left house very much alive (and grumpy) individuals. I apologize to the people who have arachnophobia (myself included)! I couldn't get any closer because of a guard forbidding people to shoot camera flashes in the eyes of these little 'darlings'!
But HERE they are on google if you dare!

That sure is an ominous warning. Nice clear shot.
Thankyou for the SUPER link! I am glad however that we have no poisonous ones here.
nasty little creepy, eghwwww
nothing too serious then
I know im mad but i love spiders so im going to google superb capture and info !!
This looks like a vending machine that dispenses spiders.
Creepy and poisonous critters! :)
Yes i know what u mean my worst fear is spiders and even though they are so much smaller than us and all it would take is stepping on them to get rid of them i can't even find my self doing that cause when i look at them i see them bigger than my self.LOL
Scary looking devils.
Yep, I know if you are bitten by one of these, give up! Even London Zoo DOES NOT have one of these, and it does have spiders! Thanks for daring this shot! Rob
Excellent shot. Next time I visit Australia remind me to stay 150 miles away from Sydney :)
Ewwwww!! nasty little critters!!
Fantastic capture, Andrew Thanks for the link - very impressive images
A cool title for this capture. I'm glad you didn't get any closer.
The red warning color says it all. Neat display Andrew:)
What exquisite creatures, even more exquisite and lovable since they're all the way over there! I hear these things won't bite you if you're already dead, but that's something I don't plan to test. This shot rocks and I love the bright "look at me" shade of red dominating the display, the only other things I've seen in that particular color were a few over-ripe firetrucks and the really important (and dangerous) engine parts of nuclear submarines. It's nice to see that color getting wider exposure. This image rocks. I just luv spiders. They're lucky you know...but no one ever really says if the luck they bring is good or bad. Funny how that works, but I guess it depends on what side of their hinged fangs you're on. This is a great shot and now I'm gonna go follow the link, since the only funnel web spiders we have in Chicago are not quite as grumpy as these seem to be.
