Description
Today we drove up the side of a mountain to Jerome, Arizona, to have lunch at a place called "The Asylum." (Excellent food, if you ever get a chance to eat there!)
Sitting in front of the building was this 1941 Packard.

I'd totally forgotten about that brand. This is a beauty.
this is old . cool shot
What a great find! Odd, the grill looks in good shape while the body appears to be rusting away. Kind of like me if I had braces.
Cool shot!!
Brilliant 'chance' shot Tara.
A wonderful corrosion compo!
Form and texture - two of your specialities!
The march of time! Super shot!

Brilliant compo in this shot; what gorgeous rust!
It's the 'Tara angle' again, brilliant.Looks like a do'er upper.Looks more like sand blasting than corrosion..a very interesting find, all this and good food too.....I've often wondered were 'The Asylum' was, my Wife's been saying I belong there for years :-)
Cool shot of this old Packard .. rust never sleeps lol..
Soooooooooooo COOL Tara! Love this capture! Way to go!!!
Oh, what a find! A wonderful angle on this old beauty, Tara! You have such an eye for these delightful details. I haven't seen a Packard in............ a long time. When cars were cars... sigh
You have brought it to life in this capture.
great POV
Great shot ,looks like it needs a paint job.
Great detail Perfect shot Tara. Hugs Angel
beautiful composition, i love the shape of the grille
Strangely enough, I've actually been to Gerome, Arizona. On a family vacation in 1979. As I recall we ate in a pretty decent greasy spoon populated by real cowboys, and real Indians, and real Indian cowboys. That was a fun trip, and it sounds like you guys are having a blast. I love restaurants (or anywhere else for that matter) that have derelict 1941 Packards parked out front. Wonderful close-up.
You've got the eye:) My shots of this old rusty hulk are rather dull. Cool...
