Description
...we pulled into a KOA Campground in Saligman, Arizona just off old Route 66, set up for the night and here's what I saw just off to the north as the golden hour came upon us.

As much as I do not like the desert during the heat of the day, there is a magic about it during the sunrise and again at sunset. This is superb.

I camped out that way years ago. I can remember buying a scorpion embedded in clear resin from a souvenir shop! I guess it was designed as a paper weight, but I thought it was very cool!!!!!! I still have it somewhere!

Great and wonderful landscape
WOW!! This is FANTASTIC! LOVE how you captured the light perfectly here. There's something other-worldly about that part of the country. Something strangely mystical. I felt it when when my family took a road trip through the area in 1979 (in a 73 Pontiac Grand Ville Safari wagon), and you've captured that feeling brilliantly here. Amazing shot!
