Description
The four aircraft are a Curtiss P-40 'Warhawk', probably best known for having been used by the 'Flying Tigers' of the American Volunteer Force that operated in 1941-42 primarily in Burma to slow down Japanese advances during WWII, the McDonnell Douglass F-4 'Phantom', the hottest aircraft during the Vietnam War, used by the US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, the Fairchild Republic A-10 "Thunderbolt II', scheduled to be retired when Desert Storm came along and the Air Force realized what a purpose-built jewel they had on their hands, and the Lockheed Martin F-22 "Raptor', very expensive and as yet not tested in combat.

Excellent capture!
fantastic capture!!
Looking at these aircrafts makes me feel like running my X Flight Simulator. An impressive capture.
Juicy Sig! Great flight of aircraft, the noise... well safely say you would not have heard the P-40! lol I have a soft spot for Phantoms.. I sat in USAF ones at Alconbury.. The Pilots used to drink at my Fathers Public House and I EVEN still have a signed photo of one by a pilot.. And the Royal Navy / RAF versions! Well.. On trial on a US Navy Carrier, the Spey engines they had installed, actually buckled the deck! The Rolls Royce engines were just a bit more powerful than the US planes... And the NOISE they made was something else.. A great plane.. The Raptor? Well, that remains to be seen.. Without doubt an excellent aircraft, but on trials with the new Typhoon (RAF), the results were very quickly hushed up.... And I have seen a Typhoon in display often now, impressed? Just a bit!!!! Still who cares, they are on the same 'side'! So... Great shot Sig.. Bring em on! Rob
Hard to believe they all can fly at the same speed! Great capture
