Description
Within two blocks of my hotel you could find all sorts of ethnic restaurants, a bookstore, several antique shops, a shop selling magazines and newspapers in several languages and an old movie house. I walked over to see what was playing and wondered at the unusual titles. My mistake. The Alhambra, complete with a pair of minarets, is now a fitness center. But hey, No Judgements.
Inspired by Lynell (tennesseecowgirl) I did this one in film noire black and white.

Beautiful night shot , Mark ! There are more the cinemas than once!
I guess hopping over the seats would make a great workout--super night shot!
so many things going on in this photo excellent work Mark
Here in Berlin there is also a "ALHAMBRA". But this is still a cinema. The image in monochrome like that. I currently a penchant for these shots. Juli
Excellent contrast! Nicely done.
What a great find, and it is a superb monochrome.
Fantastic capture and I like it in B&W
Beautiful shot. I remember the last movie I saw here years ago before the transformation. Mr Bean!!! Great shot!

Only in San Francisco:) And like the contrasts too.
lol I love it. great use of their signs. nice capture
Oh Mark this is great. I am flattered that my class photo, inspired you. If you could have only seen me out there that night getting frustrated with my tripod my instructors)and my camera, and trying to learn to shoot in the dark. haha I never thought I would get anything worth keeping let alone one that would inspire someone else. thank you :) I have since got a tripod and it is so much easier to use.
Excellent capture!
This capture has real impact in B&W but what a shame there are no more movies here.
Terrific shot! Wonderful in B&W with great detail and light. I like the light on the near car with the reflection of the sign. It's good that it wasn't torn down, but I really think they should have...Oh yeah, no judgements...never mind.
This one sliped under the radar. Super shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
