Description
here a big one. it was about 1 mile from where the baby gators was and a halve mile from the gator i posted yesterday.
note the muscles on the upper part of the mouth compare to the one yesterday. there is a big difference in the two. This gator was about 30 yards off the road. I using my 70mm x 280mm lens here. i for got to bring my 2x to double the mm to a 560mm lens

Excellent picture!!
Wow! I would not want to run into him!!
Yeah! I wouldn't want to get to close to this one! ;) Superb capture! :)
There's just something so primordially disturbing about them...nice capture.
wonderful shot ! i don't be quiet for you !!!
Ace capture Jock :)
a big one!!!!!!
Excellent shot of this impressive creature**********
superb!!
WOW BIG DADDY'S COME!
Wow!!
Jock you got a lot more guts than I do. Man I wouldn't get with in a half mile of that thing !
Great POV in this stellar foto of the mean-looking mother, Jock. I like the light and texture in this, especially on the gator's back. If you were going to try a long distance shot with a 560mm lens you'd probably need a tripod.
Looks like he is trying to get in closer for a close up shot... :) Nice capture.
Smart to use your long lens. Great shot Jocko. Dana
Lovely shot, great job on the contrast so that it's easy to see the beastie as it soaks in the sun.
Wow, another great shot!!
Another great friend :)))
Awesome capture Jock! Happy to read you are far enough away not to be BATE! ;)
Great shot of this big fellow! Someone you don't argue with? ;o)
A daring shot of this creator left over from another time.
How impressing this shot is! Really, can you eat them? I had no idea! I guess, you can keep eating all day with this great copy. :D
EXCELLENT
Dark and cruel for that mistake my friend. Good shot. Congratulations again and many thanks for sharing ((5 + +)) Sombre et cruel pour qui s'y trompe mon ami . Bonne prise de vue . Bravo encore et mille mercis de partager ((5++))
The only two places I wanna see a gator up close is a the zoo, or right here in your gallery! Very cool pixs .. and I'm glad you've got zoom lens!
You have to be cautions not to be meat yourself. I would not dare go to close. Great shot!
glad you took this with a zoom - lol.... I saw this movie years ago, suposedly it is banned, it shows real deaths in it... it's called the 7 faces of death.... one scene shows a man walk over to the edge of he water he bends down and this crock lunged on his head so fast pulled him out into the river and he was gone - just like that in a matter of seconds... the camera man never stopped filming.... These guys are quick, so is you're around anymore, maybe you aught to see that film so you know what you're up against - glad your safe.
Glad we don't have these in the UK.
