Quite a haunting sight...great light and lots of deep, dramatic shadows. Love it when you photograph a plane I don't even remember seeing. After scouring the Boeing Museum of Flight website, I found this to be a General Motors FM-2 Wildcat. It was supposed to be inferior to Japanese Zeros but nobody must have told Joe Foss that:-)
As always, the light is beyond gorgeous. I've heard of Captain Foss, so this makes your foto far more meaningful.

Cool lighting and sepia effect in this foto. And, yes, Captain Joe Foss, later Governor, and one of my boyhood heroes, who was raised just outside from where I was born in South Dakota.
