...same Turkish cargo ship as yesterday's post but with a different background.
...was able to determine ship's point of departure (Tacoma, Washington) and destination (Zhangjiagang,China) from one of two websites that allow you to sometimes track ships at sea.

pretty tricky!!
nice tone
Nice change Bill well done like the monochrome too.
Great tones and Fresnel on the corners - old box brownie (wrong format I know!) Clive
I really like this, it is like a screenprint.
Nice change-up as "bazza" says. Must be the Olympic Range in distance, yes?
Excellent comparison shot, I think I prefer this one..the ship really stands out. 'Marinetraffic.com'...always worth checking out, nice to know whats due in the Mersey.
jolie aussi!!
Very good
Great work, Bill; it does look quite "old-time" in sepia!
Lens at MAX I see! lol But came out well, engines powering up for the long time to destination.. Good postwork Bill... Rob
nice pano and tone, Bill!
But also very beautiful in sepia. :-)
Yes, the black/white sure makes for a different view and feel. It's a lot darker, gloomier. It makes one wonder about all the black/white photos one has seen - perhaps they were of a bright scene, but convey a dark impression. Another thing I'm wondering about - is that a container terminal off the ship's port bow, or is it an overloaded container ship? It's difficult to make out in this photo due to the black/white. However, this also makes for interesting contrasts - from black to shades of grey to near white. In my teaching I've preferred black/white illustrations to bring out depth information. Nice going! :-)
Like the b/w, it adds different mood!!!
This is a super shot Bill and great without the colour.
Wonderful hues and tones!
Great render Hugs Susan~
This really looks great in monochrome, Bill! And I can see by the barge behind her, she's apparently not carrying containers on her deck. Still - she's a big one! Thanks for those links, I'll have to check them out!
I like this a lot, and am glad you found a way to post it that made sense. The tone is excellent, and it's SO engaging!
splendid B/W!!
I like 'em both, Bill. Very good postwork. I wonder what she's carrying back to China. Probably money from Walmart.
Very nice picture!!
Oh wow, both very cool...this one makes it look ghostly!
SWEET SERIES
Works well in B&W and this has a very interesting background. Can't believe all those containers stacked that high. Dana
