Description
My 20 year old nephew was in his first motocross race Sunday. My sister has several new gray hairs on her head as well. He qualified for a big race in June, but not before crashing rather spectacularly!! He went over a jump, came off his bike and went down, hard. Fortunately, she didn't see it happen, but the friends who were with us did. I heard, "Sue, Scott just went down". Her face turned white and she took off like a shot. By the time she got there, he was up and ok. Bruised, scraped and shaken, but with a story to tell.
Boys and their toys; it's a wonder moms ever survive!!

Yee Haa! The race your nephew nor his mom will EVER forget. Great action panorama Marilyn:)
Great shot Marilyn which one is he?? I don't see an arrow above his head.. Nice action scene!!
Woooo Hoooo! I hope you kept that dust away from ya camera! What an exciting photo. I used to ride for years, but not to this level. I didn't race. I just cruised around the bush!
Okay, listen. Seriously. You need to become a sports action photographer, Marilyn. This is outstanding! It's an exciting picture, and I don't even give a sh&t about motocross!
great dirt bike shot
big action shot.well done
Super shot! well done!
GREAT shot, beachzz! (Girls and their CLOTHES). WINK.
Fantastic capture! I agree with Tara - this is great photo-shooting
I tried capturing one of these in flight, not an easy game. Nice job. Aloha
Excellent sports reporting here! I agree with Tara, you have a niche!
Well, as they say in the old movie westerns, "it's only a flesh wound, ma'am." And did Tara say she didn't give a shit about motorcross? That's not too nice. I would never use such language. That said, great pano action shot of the participants revving and roaring away from the starting line.
very good action shot
Great ful to watch but it wasn't big where I grew up. A sweet pano shot and I would not want to be at the back of the pack in a dirt bike race. Dana
You have a real knack for this: a real eye, and I can almost smell the dust in the air and the tinge of adrenaline either from the participants or the spectators. This is really super!
