Description
The city of his enemies is in ruins and burning. But most of his companions are also dead, and the great wealth said to be had here could not be found. So now he heads home...alone...empty handed...and very weary of war.
Larger size is better...zoom for detail!
Thanks for taking a look and for your comments! You time and words are most appreciated! It becomes harder and harder for me to find the time to compose and render images...sometimes I feel like that weary warrior! But I do love it, and will continue to try to get at least one a week in the galleries. Thanks for your continued support!
Thanks also for the many comments and favs on my previous image "In Deeply":

Spesso la guerra non dà buoni frutti e causa grandi perdite !Immagine molto bella , realizzata ,al solito , con grande maestria e assoluta qualità ! Spero tu trovi sempre la vogli e l'energia per nuove grandi immagini! Often, the war does not give good results and cause big losses! very nice picture, made, as usual, with great skill and absolute quality! Even the term "Impressive" does not do this justice...The detail throughout is Outstanding..I personally will say that It's a pleasure that you post when you do and not as often as most simply because each and every time it worth the wait to see where you take us next...Your talents are extraordinary!..But one does not need say so as you know this but I do think one such as yourself still likes to hear it...Until you grace us once again with where ever your imagination takes us will be worth waiting for once again for...(smile)...

I hope it's not a self-portrait, although your support of all artists is absolutely amazing. You sure deserve more rest. Super textures but I like the expression the most - he is really very tired!
Fantastic scene! The horse looks really good.
Great epic scene.
He does that that sense of weariness about him. Fantastic work!
Fantastic warrior, Marco, bold rich colors and details everywhere one looks. I'm getting used to that with your images though, your compositions are flawless.
