Description
Deep water cargo ports are widely used for industrial starships across human space. It is much easier for a massive container ship to land in water than it is on land, the water cools the hull quickly after re-entry, allowing faster and safer loading and unloading, and it keeps noisome, industrial starships from flying over cities. It also tends to keep their crews entertained at port establishments instead of carousing the streets bothering the locals.
As a result of the long-standing use of deep water starports, all human ships can float; a feature that has saved more than a few lives during emergency landings throughout history.

Splendid Sci-Fi Art/Scene!
Looks real good! I love the scene you set. I'm curious, what are the rectangular things in the top right?
Superb, great scene.....superb text. I would like to have seen a ship touching into the water...the figure looks like that is what they are watching, sorry, just an observation, not a crit
Great, waiting to see another image showing starships at mooring !
Wonderful work, great lighting and pov.
Fine render! Not so sure I'd be a very happy camper if I was a crewman on one of those starships, though. The last place I'd want to spend my leave time would be on a floating mechanical island away from the real life of the planet.
PERFECTA.
Fantastic scene...
Great sci-fi scene.
