Description
Made by FE, only PP for sign. and frame.
Using another FE as texture, then just a little bit embossed.
Easter Island was discovered on Easter Sunday,
5 April 1722 by the Dutchman Jacob Roggeveen.
Another indigenous name for the island is
"Mata ki te rani" : "Eyes that look at the sky".
It is famous for its "Moai", to nine and a half meter high statues.
Maybe you can see one of them here, in the background up-right?
There is a lot more I can tell you about this island.
But as you know, we eat lots of Easter eggs as a sign of new life,
so I've got some eggs deposited here too. :-)
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my earlier upload.
I hope you like this one too ;-)
Bye, bye!!

nice one!
Fantastic once again ^___^
Excellent work on this, you have created such a beautiful image! :)
Fantastic render Mies! Yes the Moai is easy to make out in the corner. I have watched documentaries on Easter Island and they discussed those statures at length. Your wonderful art work helps take you to different parts of the world thru use of imagery.
His nose is pretty big :) Such a lovely render and information. :)
A lovely view of the frac! Love the colors 'n' designs! Well done! (:
Just GORGEOUS!! What a shame Easter Island people deforested their land and had to leave!
Wonderful work Mies. You have a knack of incorporating stories into your images as easily as a professional story teller, in your own magical and special way. How sad that the Easter Islanders used up all their trees and were left with the empty eyed guardians with nothing to guard.
Schitterend werk weer,Mies.
excellant image super colours
for me, like "Five Weeks in a Balloon" de Jules VERNE !!!
I love your style of fractal artwork my friend, excellent done.
Fabulous and wonderful composition, Mies!!!
Lovely image Mies, and I really enjoyed the story on Easter Island behind this.
Fantastic piece
Those very statues are a stark warning of how easy it is to destroy the basis of life and of escape. The loss of the trees made life untenable, and the consequence inability to construct canoes meant the people were trapped. Most of the survivers were removed and the island became a sheep farm. This is a thought-provoking picture.
great colourful artwork Nice title!
