A lovely touch of colour. Glad the fallen branch remains as an inverterbrate haven.

I always wonder, when viewing an image like this, why, when we can design and build such wonders, do we still put up square - (unusable corners!) - uninteresting, completely devoid of any beauty structures, unfit for all but storing boxes! This is totally beautiful! The tower may be manmade, but it is in complete harmony with that wonderful tree! Wonderful image Alan. ^=^

Here is some info on the tower..... 'The Burton Pynsent monument overlooking the site of the battle of Sedgemoor, fought in 1685. Designed by Capability Brown for Sir William Pitt (PM) as a posthumous thank you to Sir Pynsent for leaving the Burton Pynsent Estate to Pitt in thanks for Pitt's opposition to the imposition of a tax on cider. Built in 1767. Tower now locked due to a cow with a head for heights who managed to go up and down (backwards) twice but on the 3rd trip took a tumble the quick way down'!

beautiful image- I like the colors - great capture of a very special tree-seems inclined in a gesture of support for branches that are on the ground

Beautiful colors, shapes, and light! I love the warm colors of the tower and the tree, against the cool blue and gray tones of everything else. I like soxu's comment. The trees does seem to have a personality and posture. I can easily imagine a cartoonist animating it. I love the shapes of the branches of the tree and the ones on the ground. The snow beautifully adorns the tree on the ground. Excellent capture!
