Description
...another day, another train:) This one pulling what I think are grain cars. Earlier trains posted two weeks ago were pulling coal and shipping containers.
...these trains pass near one of our favorite Puget Sound beaches.
...BNSF? ...Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
...Ooooooo, just read that trains move 40% of the freight in the USA but only account for 2.2% of the greenhouse gases emitted country-wide!

Great capture, Bill Push-Pull?
It beats me how you have produced yet another train pic which I LOVE!
Excellent shot
Wonderful lighting and colour!
I like this one, love the setting!!!
Perfect timing; a well composed, beautiful image !
Great image the way the light has lit of the left side is wonderful as is this shot.. Yep all countries should make use of trains do the work of 40 plus lorries!
As a city boy, its nice and strange to see a train that doesn't require a web of electric cables above it. We don't even have a third rail over here, just a tangle of ugly wires!
This photo is very interesting, I like trains. Very well done
Beautiful capture!!
I love the clarity and detail you caught here, I can almost hear it passing by!!
What a great scene... Love it Bill... Merry Christmas....
excellent
Excellent picture!!
Very good light and shot.
Love the way the light has lit up the left side is wonderful as is this shot.. Fantastic image, looks great A fav with me Hugs Susan~
Fabulous shot of these beauties Bill.. Just look at that power now how many trucks would it take to move that load and how much more greenhouse gases would be emitted by them.. Excellent capture I love these!!
What a great capture this is, Bill. The colors the compo and the fine clarity.
wonderful transport illustration! RS
A really brilliant shot Bill, crisp and clear.
Very special image, my Friend! I love the crisp effect of this… it seems like quite the brisk day! Beautiful perspective… the train coming right on… gorgeous effect and colours!
The wheels keep on rolling... Wonderful composition, I can sense the movement, Clive
Nice shot, Bill. I wonder where you were standing - seems very close to the track (unless you used a zoom/telephoto lens). Seems a bit on the cold side, considering the visible diesel exhaust. Those are grain cars, the third one belonging to Canadian National. Considering hauling capacity, there's an interesting book about US rail tonnage during WW II with lots of good photos - "America's Fighting Railroads: A WWII Pictorial History" - Don DeNevi; Pictorial Histories Publishing Co., Inc., Missoula, Montana, 1996, ISBN 1-57510-001-0. Thanks for another nice train photo.
Excellent capture of this train coming around the bend! :)
I love trains and taking pictures.this is superb
STUNNING SHOT
The greenhouse fact is super, I wonder why countries not use trains more widely. Wonderful capture and I realy like the colors.
bonne photo!
