Today is also the birthday of a very special friend here at home.
The image is just a rose from my garden. I have applied the invert black and white filter and then added a magenta filter on CS3.

I've been woefully absent in your gallery, though I am a follower regardless. I just wanted to wish you a wonderful holiday, and express my genuine appreciation for all you do here, from your deeply committed art (your camera & postwork are remarkable & always so committed) to your work on the forum where you welcome so many people with open arms, as well as in the galleries where you do the same. How you do all that and keep up with your life at home is amazing! You've done remarkable things with this flower, made it into almost blown & tinted glass, or something that shines from within, Wonderful light & morphing into strong purple accents.
