Description
a christmas dedi to my dear friend Leilana, i hope you like it sweetie.
the character is the Ice Elf she shared with me last year. bg used by permission. and i hope everybody is having a super holiday season.
i hit a curb in our company van today,, AGAIN, once last winter and now. they refuse to buy snow tires for it, soon as a inch of snow accumilates it slips everywhere, so i might loose my job next week, and most likely have to leave rendo cause will not be able to afford an internet connection. i'll really miss this place and all my friends if that happens. merry christmas eh? lol steve
the sign design is by Capelito / Maike
Ice Dove hair by: Swam
bird psd is by: Scifibabe / Lori
i also had to create the shadows in this image, w/o the use of the light shadowing, they never look right on a 2d background. and would have not conformed to the street lamps in the bg.
Thank you for your comments on my last image:

Excellent and very beautiful work,I wish you all the best and hope you don't loose your job**********
Beautiful scene!!
Stunning work
Lovely work with this picture Great Ice fairy and shadows! I cant believe that your employer would sack you for an incident which could have been avoided if they took correct measures! Just doesn't seem right!
Great and wonderful work.
Excellent work!!
beautiful scene
Oh Steve, I hope they have some common sense about the situation. Was any damage done to the vehicle? I love what you did here.
I hope you do not loose your job.seems like so many companies let people go at Christmas and it is added pressure that one certainly does not need.I lost my job at Christmas time back in 86 beautiful work Steve and I wish the best for you and family
Awesome scene and dedi, outstanding work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully everything will work out for you, best wishes and a hopefully a Merry Christmas!
Beautiful and lovely image.
Excellent image Steve I can really see all the effort that went into it !! Now As far as your job goes, If they are that cheap, I wouldn't want to work for them but I realize that with the job market being what it is today, you don't have much choice. IF they let you go, I will get the entire Rendo family to sign a letter of protest !!
very fine and delightful composition more or less dedicated to all our friends from germany swam and maike and leilana are from germany and dear lori form somewhere in the states lol.i think its colorado but i might be mistaken. all the best to you bro and always a pleasure to view your works.
EXCELLENT WORK STEVE...WOWWW Tomorrow Montreal Canadians visit Colorado Avalanche :)
Fabulous picture! Scene, composition and lights are splendid! Lovely dedication! I'm really sorry to hear you can lose your job. I hope for the best for you and your family and for us too so we don't miss your art!! As missblue says I keep my fingers crossed for you, Steve. Hugs!! I WISH YOU Happy Holidays!!
Great winter scene, Steve! Excellent composed render! It annoys me to hear the consequences of the lack of proper winter gear to your van! Don't you have some rights as an employee in US? I hope you get it solved, Steve - so you can stay with us at Rendo! :o]
Beautiful, Steve. I hope you don't lose your job!!!!!
Wonderful image! I do hope you will be able to keep you job. Firing seems rather harsh, since they wont buy the proper tires for the van. I send up a prayer for you :)
Beautiful scene!!
Beautiful scene... I like those icicles! Vashek
this is really beautiful, steve...really great atmosphere, but she sure looks cold :) hope all turns out ok for you with the job--really stupid for not getting snow tires--penny wise pound foolish--you could get injured, but i guess profit is more important than the welfare of the worker...in any case, have a wonderful holiday!
Me encanta.
Ohhh Steve my friend what a fantastic image!!! I like it soooo much! Many, many thanks for this beautiful gift!!! I hope, you have a wonderful christmastime! Big hugs Leilana
i like the winter scene - mood and all composition - escellent
this is a wonderful image, the cold and quiet mood comes through well. I hope you don't lose your job; it doesn't seem right when they don't give you safe equipment. hugs
great scene, composition and postwork!
Lovely image, Steve, and your postworked shadows are perfectly done. Sorry to hear of your misfortune with the company van and yes, they should provide proper equipment for the season rather than to blame you for your accident as long as you were driving prudently for the conditions. Was there an accident report done? Whether or not you've a wrongful dismissal suit is really up in the air. For example, does your state follow "At Will" (not to be confused with "Right to Work") guidelines? If it does you can be terminated for any or absolutely no reason... you are employed completely at will, both their's AND your's. At any rate I wish you luck in dealing with them and certainly hope you don't get that lump of coal for a Christmas present. All my best...
A so moving winter scene!
TERRIFIC COMPOSITION! GORGEOUS IMAGE! AND I WISH THINGS CANNOT BE SO BAD WITH YOUR JOB. JUST IN CASE THE BEST THING IS TO FIND LEGAL COUNSEL, STEVE
