Description
As you can see, not entirely original equipment, and definitely modernized.
Captured 10/24/10, at the 9th Annual Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo, held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
Better viewed full size.
I've attended this event for four years already, and found that it is slowly deteriorating and losing its original raison d'etre, with fewer and fewer aircraft and automobiles on display, being replaced with multitudes of vendors, hawking their wares from stalls throughout the area. It is taking on the commercial trappings of a swap meet, although there are still some cool military vehicles and armored equipment, such as tanks, on display.
Ta-ta. thankx for clicking on, and for any and all complimentary comments and faves.

SPLENDID shots...a Ford 'T' ?
A pretty thing.
Always wanted to build something like this at my age probably not going to happen but I can still dream, beautiful hot rod thanks for all the different poses excellent captures!
Nice collage. I always happy to see some old timer.
cool car shots
Vialliy: WHAT?
That is the problem with soooo many shows that we thought were awesome in my area as well Harry...there are as many if not more vendors there now than cars for show. Sucks to be honest. Yeah everybody's got to make s buck, but still we went to see awesome kick ass cars (or whatever the show might have been for) not to buy up the Town. Anyways, great shots Harry!! Hope you are doing fantastic!:-)
It's always the money-making angle for everything, I guess. Lovely shots of this modernized beauty, and I'll bet she goes a lot faster than the originals did!
Now this car really has style. I don't mind the update at all as she looks so sleek and probably purrs along nicely. A shame the event has lost its gloss though and has got more commercial.
Four fantastic shots to make this wonderful collage. Love the look of the rear window in #3 and #4. Dana
Oh what a fun looking car!!
A real shame that show is going downhill slowly Harry.. Duxford one has one main strip for vendors, thats it! No room for much else only aircraft! But this is groovy looking car mate! Great collage.. Well put together.. Like it.. Rob
commercialization takes over everything...one can only hope that the original displayers move to a new venue and start fresh...I must claim ignorance because I don't know what's modernized in this beautiful car. It does seem to have some oddities in it though...Still, the design is definitely not contemporary, and its squared canopy, wonderful arched back, the visible rivets, the high flat windshield, etc etc, are all signs of its old & slow-moving dignity. As always, you give us all the major angles, and end with a back shot with that window that has an almost psychedelic reflection in it! (Love that pattern in the back window. Maybe you're in that pattern somewhere...) For all the dilution of these fairs, you're still capturing grand objects most of us will never see. You gave us a fine montage of a real beauty, Harry. And thanks for the heads up on Debbielove's upload. I'll get there presently...
WHat a cutie. It is almost as old as I am feeling! Great collage Harry!
Wish Henry Ford could get a load of this...excellent pics and collage my friend.
I finally got to one of the local car shows in my area on a regular basis. The owners are of my era and I got a chance to finally correct the last memory distractions in my first car. Today I took off from Los Alamitos AAF in a simulated Bell 206 in FSX and flew over my old house in CPE below Lampson. Glad to see you have not given up on the T models.
