Just watching a few birds at the garden feeder, and hard to imagine what a fierce little bird our Robins can be.. Almost fighting to the kill another Robin, and then saw off 3 starlings! It is cold enough for this behaviour methinks!

Birds actually do live in a violent society within. I know that first hand trying to save some of their victims from battles of territory. However, they are so beautiful, and it is hard to think of that at times. We have so few birds left here anymore. They say it's West Nile, but we've had that around for decades. I'm beginning to think it is environmental, most likely toxins, as the culprit.
