Description
Frustration!
The closest I can get to identifying this hairy beetle is that it is some form of Woolly chafer. (Melolonthinae is a subfamily of the scarab beetles).
Taken in the Tokai forest, Cape Town, South Africa.
Enjoy the day,
Clive

Some kind ... ??? We don't have ANY of these, and you've got so many you can't tell one from the other. Amazing! I love Renderosity. I get to learn about the other side of the world at such an intimate level!
I've looked too Clive...no luck. Neat shot and humorous title.
Lovely shot Clive and nice texture in the wood.
That's a cool beetle for sure, but I can't help you with a name.. Insects are not my strong point.. Super shot though.. Rob
