Description
View from Hoover Dam of the Colorado River. From here downstream to about Parker is the hottest part of Arizona. Summer temperatures routinely reach and often exceed 120F. On 29 June 1994 Lake Havasu City recorded an official temperature of 128F, the highest ever recorded in Arizona and second only to the 134F recorded on 10 July 1913 at Furnace Creek, Death Valley, California.
This picture was taken in January 1985 and later scanned.
