Description
Oil-painting 18 x 24 cm.
Because of Andreas upload yesterday, where I saw her Russula-mushroom, I remembered this painting I once made, about the year 1983.
So this one is for you, my friend. (durleybeachbum).
Maybe you like this to identify?
Then don't disassemble, Andrea.
First, it is oil and in the second place, I've made it with a lot of joy and love, you know.
In Dutch there is a children's song, called "On a big mushroom "..........
Now you can see, what's on that big mushroom ....
(A joke of me, because in the song they sing about 'Elf Spillebeen' which bounces on a big mushroom with red and white dots.)
Thank you for your attention and your nice comments.
Always been an encouragement to me!
Mies.

Lovely image Mies, how clever you are.
Wat leuk Mies, dat kleine ukje op mama's rug.
Beautiful painting, Mies! I love the little guy on the top! Lovely textures, colors and light! It has a very 'deep in the dark woods' look about it, perfect for a children's song. And then the highlights make it sparkle! Excellent work!
SPLENDID AND TERRIFIC!
What a beautiful work you have created here with its very cute little mushroom atop the big one and the super colours you have used. A wonderful oil.
Even I cannot put a name to it, even-so when I lived in Germany, we had them occasionally to eat ... (war es ein Steinpilz oder ein Birkenpilz?) A great oil-painting Jacomina and big effort - I know, I couldn't do that. a nice dedi for a good friend, Splendid, BB
I just love your paintings, Mies! Every one of them I have seen have been fantastic. I wonder how many more jewels you have waiting in the wings. The mushrooms here are perfect. I know how difficult it is with oils to blend the colors just right on the palette. You mix a little brown, then a little white, then more brown until, in your judgment the balance is just right. I see that process here. Your textural representation of a mushroom surface is flawless. At first, I thought it was a photograph, because the representation is so exact. But this is so much more because it has your vision and spirit to give it unique Gestalt. Superb work Mies, and a favorite beyond doubt!
Such a wonderful painting! Lovely work!
