Description
Rheinmetall Defence used Africa Aerospace & Defence 2010 (AAD) in Cape Town to punt its Leopard 2A4 main battle tank as the best choice to replace the South African Army's long-in-the-tooth Olifant series.
This was a top speed run down the airfield (72 km/h (45 mph)) to impress us with a stop within about 10 metres.
Enjoy Monday!

Oh wow this is fantastic.
Really impressive!!!!!!!!
super feeling of speed
Super shot! Stopping a "running" Leopard in 10 meters is pretty good considering all that kinetic energy.
Wonderful!
This is very nice! Hope you have a wonderful week too. :)
great action captured
Look at them come! Love the action. Oh, and a most happy 4th birthday to you Clive:)
Cool! Just VERY cool! One of the top three Main Battle Tanks in the world... As you can see! (Challenger (UK) and Abrams (US)) being the others.. The gun is wicked!!!!! lol Great shot! Rob
Stunning capture Clive.
Amazing capture ! Bravo !
Very effective tank though not very stealthy on this outing.Reminds me of all those old war films, with the infantry marching alongside chokeing on the dust.Of course Health and Safety don't allow that sort of thing anymore, not over here at least.Really dramatic capture, great sense of it barrelling along.
All that dust really makes the shot! I can almost smell it in the air. Excellent capture! Congratulations on four years, my friend. It's good to have you around! :)
Dusty and palpable action in this capture, well done!
Not exactly a stealth machine eh?
wonderful action photo !
I would not like to stand in the sand on the left side of the tank. Must be like a sandstorm.
