Rally round the flag, boys! Lock and load!
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.

Okay, I know you are all anxious to see more battle scenes from this event, Santa suits and all, so we return once again to the bloody conflict waged on that July day.
Pics 4 & 5 depict the Southern boys preparing to return fire. We'll be getting more into fotos of the Confederates in action, plus casualties, as this particular portion of the series continues.
I realize that some of these shots look repetitious, but it was such a rare opportunity taking them that I just can't find the wherewithal to not show them all.
And my back is still troubling me.

I absolutely LOVE the second one, where you can practically see them sweat! (including the cute "santas") I can see why it is hard NOT to show these pics. Still sending you healing vibes for your back, too.

He's making a list, checking it twice, ... nipping out for a bit of fighting. Great shots! The first is my favorite, because of the clear distinction between the clarity of the line in the front, and the smokiness of the line behind, and because of the lovely motion of the flag. The images give a great idea of how smoky the battle field must have been. Wonderful images and series!

There is a handful of guys in the top 3 pics that seem to be wearing Santa hats! I love the smoke from the guns and how the guys are "feverishly" reloading! Lovely series Harry!
