Upon seeing this for the first time, I really loved the look of this old car. It reminded me of a cross between a Volkswagen Beetle and a Ladybug! Best viewed zoomed.

great pic. What's old is new again. Streamlining. Chrysler,who produced DeSoto, had the same design but it was too radical and considered ugly for the period and was not well accepted and dropped in a few years

Have only seen these in books. This was Walter Chrysler's breakthrough car...old and boxy to streamlined and modern. 1937 was a big year for streamlining everything from trains to cars. Aerodynamics was a brand new field for aircraft and what was being learned spilled over into all transportation.
