Rob should love this.
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Much better viewed full size.
This is beginning to get interesting...reactions of men in the heat of battle, many wondering if they will survive to see another day.
In #3 check out the bluecoat kneeling in the middle of the front line, just glaring at me as if I was a busybody or peeping tom. Also, in #2 and #3, I could swear I see a ten-year-old soldier in the front line.
A lot more of this to come.
Adios, thankx for popping in, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Oh I'd love to know (or maybe not?...lol) what some of these guys are thinking...look at their faces. Awesome captures here Harry!
NICE!! Dismount Cav to the front, followed by the INFANTRY! Sweet pictures!
I've just watched a TV re-enactment of a battle in Medieval England in which at least 30000 died in 12 hours. I do wonder if these jolly family affairs glamourise the carnage somewhat. Your pics are very good, by the way.
Nice job! He doesn't really look like he is glaring to me, but rather, confused. Whats with all the Santa outfits?
maybe he thought your camera was a gun lol ; just kidding. You got some very good shots of the expressions on they faces
wonderful sequence!!
All interesting images, great job capturing the action.
Glad you were there- Excellent series
There has to be a story to go with the Santa outfits :) A very interesting collage.. I examined the photos for a while, looking at the 'soldiers' and their expressions. I really like those last 2 photos, the last being my fave...
Fantastic collage Harry and did not realize how short those rifles were. Dana
Great series Harry, I almost hear a guns firing.
Another great collage in this series; yes, some of those soldiers look awfully young, but that's always been the way of it, especially back then. It is really interesting to see the expressions on their faces!
Rob does love this! I'd be thinking...'This is b****y great fun!!!!! YEAH!!!!!! Though in real life, it was not! These are fabulous shots Harry I love them.. Great close-ups! Good work my friend.. (And thanks for the link :-)..) Rob
If you got any closer they'd have given you a gun!... I love the Zouaves, looking like some disgruntled Santas in the background.
Love all the expressions on these, nice work.
