Description
Confederate soldiers returning fire upon the Union troops shown in yesterday's posting.
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Because the subject matter was so far off, this is much better viewed full size. Admittedly, not the most advantageous fotos I took of the confrontation, but the pictures do get better as the battle series continues and the warring sides close the gap between each other.
So long, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Brilliant sequence...makes you think, if there were a few thousand going at it, you could hide all sorts of movement in the smoke.
Awesome work and series Harry!
Wonderful smoky captures of this realistic battle. An excellent series.
did a wonderful job.but the cannons was loud
Whoa! I hadn't seen the cannons before. Lots of smoke in these shots. Best collage in this series Harry. Dana
They were lucky to have nice weather, not a choice to be made during the real thing.
Standing so close together would not fare so well nowadays....nice shots of the action, Harry.
Loads of smoke and noise! Brilliant, just the way we like it.. lol But only in reenactments of course!.. Super shots once again, Harry.. am loving this series.. Once again Top Work!!! Rob
I've never understood that old style of battle; standing in a long line seems like asking for trouble from the enemy! Great shots of this re-enactment, Harry!
Fantastic series of "action shots". They make quite a lot of smoke.
Very nice shots harry...love the smoke and wow I bet there was some noise here. My dad and uncles always have used Black Powder rifles and such...they are totally cool.
Oh yes... lots of guns and smoke. Boys and their toys. lol Nice job, Harry.
Smoking guns...Well captured collage Harry!
A fine addition to your series.
