Description
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Distinctly better viewed full size.
A plethora of smoke for everyone, with pics of the Confederates responding in kind tomorrow.
For full dramatic effect, I clicked the shutter right at the moment the commanding officer shouted FIRE, following the initial READY, AIM order.
At the risk of repeating myself, the photo shoot was made somewhat difficult in that I had to muscle, elbow, crouch, squeeze and ninja my way back and forth through the long tight line of spectators in order to get decent shots of the troops as they waged warfare. Certainly no way to make friends.
Au revoir, thankx for looking in, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Last is a best but as always you made a wonderful collage. Great action and lots of smoke.
LOVE seeing the smoke here Harry, most excellent shots hun! Very well presented! :-)
These are so interesting and it looks like you get right i the thick of things to capture them, another awesome work!
I enjoy your photos and would hope to come across one of these events someday.
Excellent installment in this fine series, Harry!
I like the last and closest shot best also. What a great series, Harry. I's love to witness one of these reenactments myself someday.
Your own 'battle' to capture the battle...and well worth it! Brilliant series of images. However looking at the top shot....someone's cheating.Looks like you caught somebody launching a surface to surface missile.Nothing like a nice friendly war to bring out the best in people.
Beautiful series of this army in action! Great work Harry!
lot of smoke here. cool shots I like this
Very nice photos to create this collage. Is that a rocket in the 1st photo - way to the right? Dana
