Description
The car was almost packed and my 92 year old Father-in-Law had a dizzy spell. They are thinking a blockage in one or both of his carotid arteries. So the relocation to Florida is off for at least a week or 10 days. Lots of tests scheduled over the next week. Spotted these berries by the gas station today. They are growing on what looks like a grape vine but definitely are not grapes.
I am way behind on my commenting but will catch up.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
They are very much appreciated.
Dana
Thanks Wayne (whaleman)for the ID on the pokeweed berries.

Your Father-in-Law is in my thoughts and prayers and I hope it is nothing serious. Great image! I've no clue
Beautiful image! Hope your Father-in-Law gets better soon! Hugs, Ady
Thoughts and Prayers! wonderful Image!
Boy, things change in a heartbeat, don't they? I hope he'll be ok. This is a beautiful shot, whatever they are!!
Sorry to hear about your father-in-law Dana. All the best to him! The berries are foreign to me but they sure look yummy. With my luck though they are probably poisonous!! Hehe...
wonderful shots. hope he get better
Hope Dad in law feels better Dana. These berries look like they could be 'Japanese knot weed'. If it is then this plant is very invasive and a problem to get rid of!
Pianta frequente anche da queste perti !Penso abbia ragione Jeff! Hope your Father-in-Law gets better soon!
A super composition! I have no idea what they are.
wonderful photo!
Pretty sure this is Poisonous Pokeweed. The red stems are quite particular. Their toxicity is fairly low. They look good though.
Fantastic colors on these mystery berries. The red stem is striking.
Beautiful image!
Adoable shot Dana, looks delicious, loved it! Your Father-in-Law is in my prayers my friend!
That really is a cool plant. Excellent capture. Hope your father in law gets better soon. :)
they are found in Sardnia, too. The berries were used to make a sort of ink. Wishes for a quick recovery
They are funny berries, a bit like blackcurrants? Hope your father in laws tests go well. xxx
Good luck to your father in law; and glad that he is getting tests and help. I also have no idea about these berries!
Yes, I was wondering what had happened to you. Hope your intrepid father-in-law pulls through this episode in fine fettle, Dana. Is the source of the problem in the neck area? The berries look not so much as grapes as they do black cherries. Anyway, great color and focus in this capture, my friend.
Outstanding work!
bonne photo!
Great shot and I wouldn't have known their name is you had not informed us, thank you:-)
An excellent capture of these lush looking berries.
Beautiful capture! I hope it's not to bad for him.
