Description
Last night, I posted a photo of a Native Alaskan smokehouse. Today I finally found my notes. It is a rather large attic. I believe that I was at the Chena Indian Village on the Chena River, somewhere between Fairbanks, Alaska and where the Chena and Tanana rivers merge. This is the home in that same village. Notice the dirt roof – wonderful insulation. I’ll get into the dog sled part later. Taken July 1986 and recently scanned.
