Description
Hi All :)
This is a grasshopper approximately 8 cm. long. (Tettigoniidae)
Photographed about a month ago (16-7) in our garden.
He stayed a while inaction
I had never seen such a great grasshopper.
Hey, hey, and I was pleasantly surprised!
He sat on the stalk of a poppy.
Whether he was wet or sweating (in fear because he saw me ;D), I don't know.
But he has little drops on his head.
Thank you so much for your interest. It always makes me very happy.
Bye, and have a nice day!

Excellent find and capture!!!
Oh! he IS a beauty! What wonderful details you've captured. Perhaps he's crying because summer is nearing an end and he's not ready for winter yet. He's hugging that leave very fondly. Excellent shot!!

There were katydids at the retreat I went to. They came into the buildings at night. Wonderful detail! Beautiful glistening on his wings. He does look like he is sweating. Maybe he knows what a delectable treat his size makes him for nearby birds. Beautiful capture!
