Description
Hi All :)
This is a grasshopper approximately 8 cm. long. (Tettigoniidae)
Photographed about a month ago (16-7) in our garden.
He stayed a while inaction
I had never seen such a great grasshopper.
Hey, hey, and I was pleasantly surprised!
He sat on the stalk of a poppy.
Whether he was wet or sweating (in fear because he saw me ;D), I don't know.
But he has little drops on his head.
Thank you so much for your interest. It always makes me very happy.
Bye, and have a nice day!

superbe photo!
Excellent macro!
mooie foto, in Frankrijk had ik er een tussen de droge was in de wasmand.....
Wow. I didn't know that they can get so big. Very nice capture Mies.
beautiful macro
Wonderful macro shot. Once more your eye for detail of the regular world has produced an absolutly spectacular capture. His only real defense if he felt threatened is to remain perfectly still. His color is almost exactly the same as the plant he is on, so camoflage is really his only means of defense. He was hoping if he didnt move you wouldnt see him.
Dit is echt een super mooie macro foto....mooi genomen.
A fabulous capture of this very big grasshopper. I can really see all his details.
Excellent macro!
It looks like , as if he has his eyes on you and watching every move you make... he blends in well with nature - perfect camouflage, but you spotted him despite all that. lucky you, Jacomina, BB
