Excellent clarity, and when you consider the zoom range - wow. The high shutter is a plus if lighting allows for it. Anyway, great photo and a solid choice for black and white.

We must go there and take a few images from the revolving restuarant on top. Fine B&W on a hazy day:)

We have been to the Space Needle, inside of it. Think that was in 1998. Had the best chocolate of my life there, too. Wonderful image of the Space Needle. It is a marvelous thing.

Brilliant in B&W - allows my mind to fill in the colour. I will just have to visit here one day! Clive

I must see this in person! It informed so much of my early science fiction loving life...well...that was probably because I was young enough to watch The Jettsons and think that in "the future" buildings would commonly look like this, standing outside of a downtown area dominated by companies like Cogswell Cogs and Spacely Space Sprockets...alas...we have something else. Oh well...at least I can still look at this beauty. You captured it perfectly here, and I love the way it seems to rise out of a forest rather than a city. Quite a delicious shot!

I think the first time I saw this was in black and white. I remember when it went up for the 1962 World's Fair. Kennedy was president and it seemed to embody the optimism the country felt back then. I'm still waiting for it to take off. Very nice choice of location and composition.

I think I recall watching a movie where that was an actual spaceship, incognito until it was ready for flight, and it flew ... hmmm, I'll have to think on that one. I bet Chip knows. Super shot, and I really like the B/W conversion.

When you do take off, make sure you visit Cape Town... Great photo (I'm impressed with your steady hands) - and I just love the monochrome.
