Rendezvous, lock-on and transfer. The experience gained by the Orbital Shuttle crews during the first test flight of the Cocoon is now brought into play as the crew of the shuttle move slowly, ever so slowly up to the huge mass which makes up the three component sections of the Cocoons payload. Using the multitude of mini-cameras located on the two robotic arms within the shuttle�s cargo bay, and interacting with an additional series of remote mini-cameras positioned on the various exterior surfaces of the three part payload, the crew of the shuttle are able to approach and lock-on to one of the three payload sections using hard-points designed for this very task. With lock-on completed the crew of the shuttle will transfer the three part payload, currently linked together as one, to a position below and within eyesight of the ISS so that the next phase of the stations extension mission can take place.
