Description
Prae is working on some boots to go with her Euros set, and let me try the beta version--they worked fine for me, though she found some loose ends she wanted to fix. I did some quick test renders and I also wanted to try the Mil4 kids and Noggins chicken.
Rather than just render little gray things, I fixed them up a bit (but just barely) to go with the bug comic, though there is nothing happening here besides Randy getting some mail-order boots from New Zealand and trying them on by the front porch of the farm house. The little kid is his and Rain's cousin Naomi, and when she picked up the boot Randy said "You aren't going to put that in your mouth, are you?" (Naomi is getting those itchy side teeth in.) Naomi slowly shakes her head, being a woman of few words, and then slowly lifts it up to her head... and then bites down hard on the upper edge, leaving two little teeth marks. Randy bellows "Naomi!!", which makes Naomi giggle hysterically and scamper off with the boot. Rather than chase her, Randy tries on the tall, fancy boots. Rain's Aunt Marian (in the blue outfit) comes looking for Naomi, says, "those boots are quite the thing. You are just wearing those in town, right?" And then the awkward question, "How much did those cost?" And then Randy has to point out that they are an investment, since they are from a famous designer;)he's able to distract her by pointing out Naomi climbing the paddock wall, and she goes off to retrieve her neice. (Rain has his father, and two uncles and their wives living on the farm as well as his grandfather and assorted cousins, not to mention stable hands, two shepherds and a full time vet.)

The mil4 kids are cute. I guess I need to go buy some stuff for them, since just my painting isn't quite enough (though Naomi *is* that grubby)

A lovely serie !
Fantastic images, wonderful slice of life for Randy. Love that chicken.
Bravo! You have managed to tell a very interesting story with your test renders. I couldn't do this good if I spent weeks on it! They look like fantastic boots. Just perfect for your bug comic.
I like the bottom panel the best but all 3 rocks
Yup, only you could combine boots, kids and a chicken into something that makes sense! I hate to say it, but way up here, those are called 'beat-me-up-boots!" But then, I live in a city who's sense of fashion revolves around what brand of steel toed boots you have, and how fire retardant are your coveralls.
Love the bottom image. The boots look great, and the post work is perfect.
nice image and nice story... yeah - everytime you get boots made by an famous designer you should do stress tests on it... and one of the hardest is the bite test... if the boots are good - they resist the teeth of snappy little cousins...
Oh yeah, new boots! Very funny story, and I do like the boots. Might have to add those to my runtime when they appear in the Market,
EXTRAORDINARY COLLAGE, SUPERB WORK !!!!!!!!!!
Such a fun way to show off these boots. Great scenes. Love your poses and concepts. Really interesting.
