Description
Mile high palm trees, spanning an entire city block, captured 7/14/10, within walking distance of my raffish residence.
Better detail when viewed full size.
These guys are so tall that they lean over from being top heavy, despite their skinny structure. I like the way the sidewalk is cut around their base. The trees have been there since day one AD.
I have scads of fotos of them in my files, taken from all POV angles except from the top looking down.

I love the cut-out sidewalks also. The Washingtonia Palms are always stunning, especially when situated like this, in a long row. Nice collage.

My grandparents lived in Hollywood, up towards the canyon and they had trees just like this al laround the house. I can remember looking out the window, seeing them sway and it scared the heck outta me. Great shots, and thanks for the trip down memory lane!!
