Description
Yesterday after uploading one airplane, the bug bit me again and I finished this one that has been kicking around on my desk top for 6 months:)
I removed this aircraft from its' crowded background in the US Air Force Museum, added a dark cyan blue fill and added a frame just to keep in practice with a few things I don't do very often. Hope you like the different effect...or is it affect. LOL
The "Blackbird" (SR-71) came out of Lockheed's Top Secret Skunk Works in the mid-1960s and was operational from 1966-1998. It did amazing things at speeds above mach 3 [approx. 2,304 mph or 3,708 kph] and holds speed records that are unbroken to this day.
Bill:)
P.S. Oops, just couldn't quite fit in the entire pitot tube...LOL

Oh yes - this is just stunning. I really like the overall result you have achieved Bill! I agree that it resembles something alien... especially with the blue tinted lights above!
Cool bird!
I saw one of these planes in real life when they were still in operation at Beale Air Force Base, CA. Don't ask me how I got in to see it... please. ;c) Excellent postwork.

ther's a certain futuristic look you gave to this beautiful monster...well done, Bill!
Cool manipulation and great results
What a plane! You know, this begs for a Star Wars reference, since George Lucas and his special effects wizards probably stole...um, I mean, appropriated this very plane for inspiration of "the Royal Starship" used by Queen Amidala in the rather lacluster prequel Star Wars: the Phantom Menace...okay, I admit to liking that movie, but maybe it was really just the popcorn and the Skunk Works inspired "starship" that...well...at times looked more like a hood ornament than a space ship--bad camera angles and too much chrome! Oh well. What a shot though! I love your postwork and the way everything brings your focus to the centerpiece plane. This really rocks! Mach-3 huh...? I know a cat who can run that fast, especially if she's chasing a Q-tip; she hasn't quite gotten the whole stopping bit, so her Q-tip chases often end with a bit of feline embarrassment. Ah, but that's a ramble for another day. What a shot. I love what you've done with this.
YES SIR THE FABULOUS INVISIBLE PLANE ;-)
