Description
I had not planned to post a picture today but I realized that today is a sort of anniversary for me. Exactly 3 years ago today, I created my first 3D picture. At least one I didn't delete and wasn't afraid to show to people. It was called "Three Friends" I'd provide a thumbnail here but I don't know how to do it.

This seemed an opportune time for me to thank everybody here at Renderosity. Your generous support and kind comments have provided me with encouragement to keep trying. So, Thank You very much your fine work inspires me to try harder.
The Pier is from Daz, the Brigade are Spoonbilled Sandpipers from Ken Gilliland's Songbird Remix Shorebirds Volume 3 and they are beautiful and rare.

This is beautiful! Excellent lighting and composition! I love the strong black and grey lines of the pier, the dark sky with the strong light streaming through and the beautiful birds, one coming in for a landing. Also the lighthouse, the luminous waves and the shadows of the birds on the sand. The wonderful details like the fisherman, the intricate railings on the near and far side of the pier and the variations of the water. The surfaces of the water are extremely well done! Beautiful reflections and color and texture differences. Congratulations on the 3 years! I like the three friends too. I was much briefer on my comments then. First 3D picture, 3 years ago, 3 friends and now 3 buildings on the pier. I see a pattern. The pattern you show regularly is consistently excellent work and a diligence and success at improving your skills. Very well done!
