My two favourite subjects in my art are equines and portraits. I love the challenge of trying to make a character look as real as possible:-)I am very happy with this one, I hope it looks OK on other folks screens!!

This is lovely .. and so what I deeply enjoy in a portrait: elegant simplicity. I can sit and look upon this image for a long long time. Maybe it sounds strange, but it has an almost meditative effect upon me. Perhaps it is the feeling of sacredness which emanates from the pose and the cowl?.. all I know is that it soothes me to view. I have worked with cameras since I was a child. My primary subject of interest has always been the human face. This is an excellent study of her face because there are no distractions and the fabric frames her wonderfully. A classic work, Sylvia. & A sweet delight to view. With warmth, Terry
