Description
Something completely different! A photograph of chicks we got to replenish our flock. Most of the chicks are layers but we got a few exotics too, like these two cuties. They are Polish (that's the breed name) and will end up having a mad profusion of feathers on the tops of their heads.

Boy, do they look cute at this age. I wonder what they're like when grown up. I've seen hens really fight and peck at each other. I wonder what makes them do so. Thanks for the cute pic. :)
They look cute, wark! BTW, don't they need their beaks trimmed?
Our chickens are free-range (they wander about our farm) and we do not trim beaks. With lots of room to roam we don't have many problems with the hens picking on each other.
