Description

Another dawn shot, Lake Michigan. (Much fuller, large.) * * *
Thanks for your wonderfully personal thoughts on my last upload. I love museums, and it's great to see you all dance at what you do. Thanks BIll & then Chip for getting it going, and to all of you for sharing such wonderful experiences...
* * * A fine evening to all, Mark

I can even smell the lake :-))) I wouldnt mind having a long walk there. It looks so beautiful. The color of the sand is marvellous. What a wonderful capture, Mark. My beach is full of stones and it is almost impossible to walk along the water edge.

This wonderful lake photo has your trademark...I'd know it anywhere. The itty-bitty waves have me thinking of lake waves again. The large kind that mysteriously sunk "The Big Fitz" or the 750 foot SS Edmund Fitzgerald in 1975. But that is another story for another time. Love the light. And a big hand for museums everywhere:)

Uber marvelous color, contrast and texture in this photo, Mark, punctuated by the blazing reflection of the sun undulating its way right down the middle! And the colors go from a root beer shade in most of the image to a suggestion of V8 juice at the bottom.

This really is a lovely photo Mark, and it served the purpose of sending out a calming feeling that was needed after a typical Monday. The sun glistening off the water is beautiful as the water recedes away. Truly the perfect image to make the ending of our day.

What a wonderful title for this magnificent capture of the dawn over the lake. The sun's rays really do look like a river of light just created for your pleasure and mine now that you have posted it. Beautiful.

sigh I could just sit there all day and look at this. Though I know this is dawn and I'd freeze important parts no doubt. I love the little bit of sand; just gives the shot such a great look!! Wonderful foto, Mark!!

I too see the curve of the earth!!! Most delightful image Mark! I particularly like the small waves! I can hear them when I close my eyes and they lull me into a peace and calm!!! Thank you for sharing your little 'ocean' with us!

i must say that the debate about museums was a treat! and it's always a pleasure to read what you, Chip and the others say in your comments. And i like your choice of photos, like this one, its purplish color and the refections of the sun, the congealed waves and the poles in the background convey a sentiment I can't describe, but it's strong!

As usual,another great shot! I can feel this one. That wonderful aquatic smell coming in off the lake along with a bit of spray and most likely a cold breeze. The way the morning sun glitters off the sloshing choppy water in an almost blinding way. The stillness of the park itself broken only occasionally by the foot-falls of morning joggers. Yes, this photo puts me there. I'm trying to figure out where this is now. Oak Street Beach? Somewhere in Rogers Park? Wonderful work, my friend.

Just gorgeous. Can feel the breeze in my hair and the sun's warmth as it bounces & glitters across the water. The glimpse of the shore in the foreground is just the best.
