Description
I was about to go to town for an appointment when I saw this fawn in the pasture and although I was running late, I had to try to get a pic or two, lol. We have had rain off and on for several days and I was not dressed to go walking through too much wet grass so I did not get as close as I would have normally attempted to do.
This is not a new born but I doubt if it was more than just a few days old. It had been left here by the mother as she grazed elsewhere and it knew it was supposed to stay there. It never attempted to move away but it had its full attention on me as I approached. I had a clear view of several acres of this open grassy area and the mom was no where in sight. I am sure she returned before too long but I did not have the time to wait for her.
I am sure I will see this fawn again.
