Description
I am always fascinated by these flowers and can not resist pointing my camera at them when they are in bloom. I had a number of blooms that opened up just a bit this season then they seemed to wither. I think that is due to a recent lack of rain. This bloom managed to open up fully. I do have 5 large seed pods that have formed this year. Each of these pods are as big as a large chicken egg and they have the same shape as an egg. The deer usually get to them before they are ready to drop so I have not managed to gather many of these pods for reseeding purposes. Maybe this year I will try to harvest one or two while they are still slightly immature and hope the seeds continue to mature off the vine.

Nice shot, you could try putting wire mesh around the fruit on the vine.
A beautifully complex structure! We can only grow the commonsort outdoors here, wher it does sometines rather too well!
