Description
A big Happy Birthday to you Andrea. As soon as I saw this guy in early May, I knew I had the right thing for you:)
Now, I hope you are good at identifying antique English ceramics because much to my chagrin...I missed the sign on this. It was in a room with Wedgewood, etc. And I know it was a couple of hundred years old. Beyond that, I don't know much...whaaa...:-)

Andrea's getting all kinds of great birthday presents--this is perfect!!
Very beautiful dedication ! Very high quality processing of these ceramics! Buon compleanno a Andrea.
HA! That is indeed a perfect gift for Andrea :-) Happy Birthday Andrea :-)
Ralphie has been a studio model in some previous life, this is very like him! Thankyou So much, Bill! I got rid of my pot history books to make shelf space but I'm sure I'll track him down.
Great shot and dedication Bill.
Excellent capture and birthday gift Bill well done!!
Fantastic work....
Wonderful Birthday gift. Happy Birthday Andrea!!!
That's a big piggy bank or is that a doggy bank. Cool image. :)
bonne photo!!
Looks like he is also an oversized piggy bank... Hehe... Most wonderful gift for the birthday girl... and a lovely collage/card!!! Well done! HB again Andrea! :)
Wonderful photo and gift for Andrea, Bill Happy Birthday, Andrea
I like him do wonder what he was used for, with the slit in his back!!!!
Another fine gift for Andrea! lol Many Happy Returns.... As to the name... Or even if its Wedgwood (?), I am not sure.. You have taken the colour out the picture.. But have to say, it looks the most unwedgwood, wedgwood I've ever seen! lol Could be a piece made to commemorate something? Maybe? lol I'm going on... Rob
great shots!! wonderful dedication!
...and my best wishes for the Birthday girl, you really deserve such a fun dedication from one of many good, faithful and loyal friends like Bill... Well done, Cheers BB
Really excellent images of this fascinating piece. I didn't get any decent photos of this guy, or his mate. Too dark in that entranceway. You've done a great job showing this guy ... he's quite a charmer! Wonderful gift for Andrea for her birthday. :)
tara just told something of your inimitable skills in museums, saying that it was too dark in that entranceway: Not easy to get these shots, but we all know your skills in museums by now. It's very well captured, and such a fascinating creature! I don't know a thing about the style. I just know it's fascinating, from the opening in the back (maybe required in baking, or for carrying), to the long smooth torso, to the stylized tail, to the inscription on his collar. What a specimen. And it's really good for Andrea because it's a dog, it's ceramic, it's in a museum, and it's just plain fun. You always put thought into your work bill. A fine museum capture, and a fine gift for our friend, and I'm going to check out the style when I have time. And last but not least, Happy Birthday, Andrea!!!
wonderful looking and happy brithday
Nice one, Bill, especially considering the lighting (or lack thereof) you were shooting in. He looks really great. I don't know beans about English ceramic antiquities, but he does look a tiny bit like Winston Churchill - at least to me.... Maybe there's something funny in my coffee....
Beautiful collage :)
Nice doggie but what was it used for, saving money? Antique English ceramics is not my strong point, (not that either! :)
Great capture!
a very nice dog!!!! Wonderful Birthday gift for Andrea!!!!
very cute! great capture and dedi for Andrea!
Excellent capture of this ceramic doggie...and a perfect dedi!
I love his expression and he makes a lovely birthday gift.
Two great shots and collage and minimal shadows. Well done. Dana
If I had to guess, it's an umbrella stand. :) Nice piece! Beautiful captures!
How much is that doggie in the window? Stellar photography in this fine choice of subject matter for Andrea on her birthday.
