Description
Three elven brothers are on the hunt along the forest trail when the youngest sibling decides to test his huntsman's mettle against a ferocious beast scurrying across his path. His two older brothers look on with amusement as he prepares to battle a less than fearsome beetle! For his part, the unlucky beetle is scurrying as quickly as his six legs will carry him to the high grass before a junior size elven sword comes crashing down on his colorful exoskeleton!
My apologies to lwperkins whose BugComics bug hunting scenes carry a little more "umph" and a lot more art! This was not intended to be a bug hunt, but when looking through my runtime for a less than ferocious critter, this little bug was the only thing I had for my young but anxious elf to prove himself a true hunter.
My thanks to all of you who made wonderful birthday images and sent me birthday wishes on my birthday this week! I was really overwhelmed! You guys are the greatest!!! Thank you one and all!!!
Thanks also for all the comments and favs on my previous image "Strike a Pose (for mixart)":

Wonderful work.
This made me smile. The coming of age, with killing the .... bug. giggle.. Wonderful image!
A belated happy birthday ;-) Fun image here, and very nice action pose work.
Very funny - and a great beetle!
GENIAL.
Oh sorry, I missed your birthday. Congratulations*** A nice party here above, very well creation!
Perfect and beautiful
good action packed scene but I vote ...Let the beetle live !!!! chants ....let the beetle live !!!! really nice work
Maybe that beetle will escape as his eyes don't seem to be looking at his quarry, then again those Elvish swords seem to have a mind of their own and tend to help out and point you in the right direction ! Neat global lighting and characters. BTW, oh yeah, Happy Burfday Marco ! ~Cheers~
Hope you had a great birthday! Love the loincloths and humor here ;) Lol
I like the amused look of the one brother watching as the bug is attacked. The effect of the wooded cliff with the mountains in the background is superbly accomplished here. I like the poses too! Great job!
WONDERFUL SCENE AND POSES, EXCELLENT COMPOSITION, GREAT WORK !!!!!!!
Beautiful scene my friend, lights & poses are wonderful. Background and atmosphere are super realistic... 5+
Amusant.
Very good work!!
like a lot.
Super render! Very well done!
Sweet!
AWWW i really feel for that poor bug. Very cool render the only thing i would change is to have the fighting the bug to look at the bug. Other than that the rest of the poses are excellent.
Some interesting drama here. That poor robotic creature must be counting its days. Cool pic !
cute bug, great scene! fine facial expressions!
