Description
The Vietnam “Three Soldiers” bronze sculpture is part of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial area on the mall, in Washington, DC. This area is located between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. This statue is a little larger than life size, faces the center of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial “wall” and is about 150 feet away. Another 20 year old photo that I scanned yesterday.
GOD bless the men and women who have served this great nation, currently serve or will serve in the future.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your comments on yesterday’s tribute to Jeff.

awesome sculture and quality scan.I think I have seen this on tv
A very powerful sculpture!
Very great capture.
Well done! I am amazed at the detail sculptors manage.
bonne photo!!
There is a meaning to this sculpture. The way their dog tags are displayed is what happened to them. One wearing his tags around his neck made it home, one with his dog tag tied on his shoe was killed in action and the one with no dog tag is missing in action. I never knew this until my son told us when we visited the memorial.
This is an awesome sculpture, you have to zoom, to see all the work thats gone into it.
Great shot Dana! I remember seeing this back in 1985 when I visited DC.

Great job on capturing them.
Excellent shot and post!
Very good capture. A terrible war.
AWESOME CAPTURE AND GREAT WORK..!!!!!
This is a really exceptional shot of this statue. I love the muted colors of the landscape in the background, almost in deference to the statue before it. Wonderful info from Stick about the dog tags, I didn't know that either. Excellent photo and a fine post for today or any day for that matter.
Terrific clarity and detail in this shot of this wonderful commemorative statue, which I've seen several pictures of before, Dana. A stellar dedication to our fellow veterans, living and dead.
Well done Dana...so lifelike.
Awesome Dana, great capture!!!
beautiful!
The last time I was there it was after dark. It looks very haunting in the lamplight. There is a new memorial to the nurses that served. I went with a co-worker who had served. Six feet six and two hundred and fifty pounds. I stood next to him and watched him cry like a baby. If you can visit this site and not be moved you have a heart of stone. Terrific capture.
