Description
It looks as if this valiant Viper pilot’s gonna be one shy of making ace the way things are going at the moment. Even if she were to prevail, there probably wouldn’t be much to return to considering what is unfolding for the Galactica!
At any rate, I’ve long admired the stylized starfield backdrops that some of my favorite artists have composed over the years. I figured I’d give one a try, working on this one long and hard over the course of a week using Paint Shop Pro 8. PSP came through again, proving to be easier to use than other imaging applications. The completed background was then imported into Bryce5 as a 2d picture object. The Viper and Raider textures were quite the challenge as well.
The rest of the image contains original Vipers, Raiders and the lone Cylon Base Ship created in Wings3d. The wonderful Battlestar is a FREE, fully textured 3ds download from Coxxon’s Colonial Fleet, found at sci-fimeshes.com. Great stuff over there! Skull and crossbones from cactusmountain.com.
