Description

All year I wait to see this tree bloom. Here in the Phoenix area it blooms in April/May. This year it was a little late since we had unusual cool weather. We have not had 100F yet. I could stand all day and look at this tree. Unfortunately, this picture does not do it justice and I couldn't figure out how to bring the color of the blossoms out any better. It looks much better in real life. Picture was taken on 8 May 2010. Thanks for visiting, Sig...

There are some in bloom here, but ours have blooms before the leaves, which makes it even more stunning. It is hard to capture them well, the color fades right into the sky.

I could only suggest shooting up at the tree with the blue sky behind more. It sure is lovely though, enjoy it while you can. It was 91 here in Tennessee today, I think your warm temperatures came here. :)

Trees are difficult to photograph. Particularly in the blazing sun of Phoenix. Glad to get a look at your house...nice stable of cars there too:)

Uh, you wouldn't want to trade some late snow for some of the sun I see here would you? I see you have a low maintenance yard, my favorite kind!!!

The Jacaranda tree still evokes, for me anyway, Tori Amos' lyrics in her song "Don't Make Me Come To Vegas" part of which follows. It is a beautiful tree! "...and the Jacaranda tree is telling me it's not over yet, just by the way she bends..."

YOU SHOULD TAKE A CLOSER SHOT, AND HELPING IT BY SATURATING IT A BIT IN POSTWORK. TRY THIS WAY

Trees have to be the most difficult subject in the world to photograph! We see so much detail that just doesn't translate into photography. I love this shot because it shows your beloved tree in bloom. I can add the mental details that the camera just doesn't see.

These are really beautiful trees and one of my favourites. Unfortunely they get frosted here so we don't have them though further north they make a wonderful display.
