Just some whimsy on my part and a fun little break from product development. Yes I saw Avatar (in 3D- very kewl! I don't think I've seen a 3D movie since Andy Warhol's Frankenstein:) and know the horses looked quite a bit different than this. Just been meaning to play with the concept for a while/try making a horse texmap based on the Na'Vi.
Anyway I hope you enjoy!
Production notes: Mil Horse posed and morphed in Poser 7- custom texmap made using my Daz MH Pro Textures as a base, hand painting and patlashes Fairy Dust brushes. Flora and fauna is Daz's Heart of the Jungle; Zai's wonderful Wildwood & Feathers are by Lucie-both here at Rendo.

OMG! That came out fantastic. I've watched it again a couple of more times since getting the Blue-Ray. Granted, not as nifty without the 3D, but still, I enjoy the movie. I'd say you hit this one on the head. Really nicely done and pretty creative with the texture.

Wow !! Pure Beauty !! I've just seen Avatar yesterday (in video). The Na'Vi's horses are not at all horses, and your horse keeps a terrestrial aspect but he is really a magnificent and fantastic creature !! Wonderful work !! Bravo !!

I hated Avatar, but I found it visually very inspiring. This horse is absolutely phenomenal--it very much catches the aura of the Na'vi in horse form. :) However, I feel like the white dots should be plugged into the ambient node to make them a bit more glowy. :)
