Description

Here you see keys and wonder about the title. I see two or three at the most; house keys. The rest is mail box keys. I drove to this trailer park by the Gulf to day. Really to Holly beach and places around there. I past this place up and noted as i was driveing by the road into the place and a lot of wooden posts in the ground up to about three feet tall I guess. I do not know why all those posts was in the ground all line up at all. I saw the mail box and some ramps but no buildings. I saw these keys and knew it must been a trailer park here. All is gone now for the big storms name; hurricanes took them away. It was close to the shoreline. I could not see the Gulf from where the keys was at but I could smell it and know from my head it is close by. I knew too that the people here lost every thing. What they had from the past and no future here too. All is gone. Just the clothes they have and what they pack into cars as they left. The owner of the park lost all too. No more rent. That why I call the photo "Keys of the Past was not the Future" thanks for loking and comments I think I be working too much this week to post or even to look on line lol. So I sorry and will caught you later on oh; almost forgot. There no oil on the beaches I saw . There may be oil in other areas but I saw none. Yes I could post the beaches or the houses there too or nothing left but the slab foundation. I saw a lot of them and did not take many shots of them. People crabing too I took photo of. But I leave you with the thoughts of wonder what happen to the people who lost all and left they keys behind....

This is a haunting photo, very poignant! I love the scattered keys. They are so mysterious and add to the mood of this brilliant photograph. This is excellent work!

This shot is so distressing for me. After recently seeing the devistation of Ike in my own hometown, and remembering the sights I saw in New Orleans just months after Katrina... My heart sinks to see this.

cool jock and i hope this shiity oil is not expanding too much.well the damage is already done-i am sorry for the poeple and of course for the nature. but the humans have an outstanding talent of destroying everything.
